Mylapore Institute of Indigenous Studies (MIIS) is the research wing of Deepika Educational Trust, Mylapore. It specializes on studies related to churches of indigenous origins.
The focus arises out of an urgent need for Christianity and its dynamic levels and intensities to be integrated within the fabric of Indian society. Authentic Christianity is to be incarnated as flesh and blood. The Indianness of Christianity in India is a challenging and rewarding field of study not only for the contemporary Christians but also for the future generations.
