MIIS exists to promote research on indigenous Christianity in India and aims to see indigenous Christianity extablished as a new field for academic research in Indian universities and theological institutions. As an information centre, MIIS will provide information to churches, scholars and leaders, and will seek to encourage the development of indigenous Christian Churches.
