Christianity has found a new global centre in the southern hemisphere. A majority of the world’s Christianity today is found not in the West but in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. The Oxford Encyclopedia of South Asian Christianity documents the historic presence and contribution of Christianity in the South Asian region. More than ten years in the making and supported by an extended group of more than 450 scholars, teachers, and resource persons from India and abroad, the Encyclopaedia covers almost 2,000 years of Christianity in India and its neighboring South Asian Countries. Bringing together scattered written and oral information from a wide range of sources from different corners of South Asia, the Encyclopaedia includes around 1,100 in-depth entries….
